Cavity Wall Insulation

The Leading Choice for quality and effective cavity wall insulation in the UK.

Around 30% of all heat lost in an uninsulated home escapes through the walls. Houses in the UK either have solid walls or cavity walls. If your house was built after 1920 it is likely to have cavity walls. If you are unsure if your property has cavity walls, book a survey and our trained surveyors will confirm this for you.

A standard installation will take 3-4 hours. All work should be completed externally unless any hard to treat area’s have been identified at survey stage to be installed internally. The install teams just need access to a power supply and running water throughout the install.

When the install team arrive they will need to conduct some safety checks inside the property, checking any fires/flues for correct ventilation as well as checking for any gaps around pipework under sinks and within the loft space. Once satisfied the install team will them complete all of the work from outside by drilling 22mm holes in the mortar joists on each wall at regular intervals. The insulation is then blown in to the cavity through the holes from the ground up to ensure the wall is completely filled. The holes are then filled with mortar and re pointed including adding dye to the mortar mix in an attempt to make the injection holes blend in as best as we can. Once completed the team will clean any dust and debris created during the install making sure that your property is left in the best possible condition.
