Our Internal Wall installs are all conducted using the SWIP Internal Wall Insulation System. This system is very versatile as can be made into both vapour open and vapour closed systems. Depending on your property construction type we will match the system to your property ensuring the insulation and the property interact together as intended.

All of our installers and surveyors are fully trained and certified. We are regularly monitored to ensure we are fully compliant with new guidelines. Our installers all have undergone system designer training with SWIP and have Level 3 NVQ's in Solid Wall Insulation.

A standard installation will take 2-5 days. All work should be detailed at survey stage prior to work commencing. We may need to move services and heaters etc from the external walls. We leave the walls with a fresh plaster skim finish but do not decorate. We may have to book further visits to reinstate services such as radiators or plug sockets once the plaster has dried. Once completed the team will clean any dust and debris created during the install making sure that your property is left in the best possible condition.

Smart Energy install solid wall insulation internally rather than externally. We fix insulated battens to the inside of all external walls, install insulation between the battens and then fix plasterboard over the top. On average you lose around 100mm of depth in the room which is hardly noticeable in most cases. The install team will then plaster these area’s leaving you with a freshly plastered room for you to re decorate. The skirting boards will be replaced and any light switches or plug sockets will also be re sited along with any other obstructions such as radiators. The install team will use dust sheets on any area’s where they will be working. Once completed the team will clean any dust and debris created during the install making sure that your property is left in the best possible condition.
