You must have a valid EPC to buy or sell a property or if you are looking to rent out a property. Without an EPC a property sale cannot proceed, and tenants cannot lawfully rent a property.
Once the surveyor arrives at your property, they will be on site for around 1 hour. They will then spend further time running the information that they gathered on site through a software package which produces the EPC. This will then be available to download from the central EPC register.
